The ‘South African’ Virus mutation is keeping most South Africans from travelling overseas, with only a handful of countries allowing South Africans to enter their countries, unless they are citizens of the country they wish to travel to.
Only seven countries allow relatively easy access to our country’s residents without quarantine prescriptions, reports BusinessTech, without naming the countries.
Guarded good news is that some international travel will soon be allowed within the European Union, for those residents with ‘vaccination passports’. But the vaccination brands must be those approved by the European Union authorities!
Six days after South Africa’s borders reopened for tourism, confusion reigns about various aspects of the new regulations in regard to how they apply to Leisure and Business Travellers, the insurance required in particular, whether the Covid testing applies to airline crew, and whether Visas are required for visitors to our country! A surprise has been that the Minister of Tourism has appeared to have had no participation in the regulations regarding the reopening of International Tourism, left in the hands of the Departments of Home Affairs, Transport, and International Relations and Cooperation!
