Restaurant Review: Mexicola Locale colourful food and atmosphere in Hout Bay!

 

On Tuesday evening my friend Gary Peterson and I popped in at Mexicola Locale in Hout Bay, a Mexican Eatery, after an event we attended in the suburb.  We had planned to eat at the nearby Delish, but it was closed.

Knowing that the restaurant belongs to Chef Cheyne Morrisby, it was worth a try, and the little blue cottage attracted interest from outside.

The service was very good, and good wines offered, but the Tacos disappointed. I loved the Churro waffle, but found it to be pricey. Continue reading →

Mercado de San Miguel puts beautiful Madrid food on a plate!

I had not heard of the Mercado San Miguel Food Market in Madrid until the Hotel receptionist Davide told me about it, he not knowing of my interest in food. Compared to the TimeOut Market in Lisbon, the Madrid market is smaller, has less seating, but its food is more beautifully presented. Continue reading →
