Audi Cape Town Sweet Service Award! Emirates Sour Service Award!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Audi Cape Town, and its amazing customer-caring Service Manager Hennie Kriel. My car had been in for panel beating at Farber Coachworks whilst I was overseas, and they must have disconnected the electronics in doing so, as the time on the dashboard was incorrect. The dashboard also told me that my car key needed a new battery. Hennie sorted out both problems quickly, as he always does, and there was no charge, as the battery cost is covered by the Maintenance Plan. The service by Audi Cape Town is almost as fabulous as driving an Audi!

The Sour Service Award goes to Emirates, the airline that showed its negative side in both my flights between Cape Town and Dubai. I have already documented on this Blog the 24 hour delay I had to endure in Dubai, having to spend a full day in Dubai due to the airline’s late arrival in Cape Town, and hence missing my flight to Nice! On my return flight I checked in to the Cape Town flight via Dubai at Heathrow, praying that we would land on time so that I could get to the Cape Town flight on time, given that I only had an hour to change planes. My seat A27 was booked two months prior to my flight, and this was the seat number allocated to me on the boarding pass at Heathrow too. In boarding the Cape Town flight, thinking they were just scanning my boarding pass, they sneakily printed out a new boarding pass with a new seat number, now a middle seat! I protested, but all window seats had been taken. I was given an aisle seat in the first row with additional legroom, but had passengers from hell sitting next to me, adding insult to injury!
