Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for spending a quiet day at home mostly, writing this morning; for it being colder initially after a few drops of rain; for a good nights sleep; for being able to get a mini mini pedicure done without booking at Sorbet; for a second walk through Bakoven, the sun having set earlier than normal, it seemed; for an uplifting call from my Alex with wonderful news, so happy that he is so happy ❤️❤️❤️❤️; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙

Thank you to all who wrote beautiful messages on Messenger and Facebook about my different look yesterday evening. Vivian Warby decided that I needed to add some colour to my eyes and cheeks, and played make up artist, with lots of laughter. I only ever wear lipstick, so this was very bold. Viv is highly recommended for make-up services and styling. ❤️

Sorbet Camps Bay was a disappointment, the temperature gun not working, a boyfriend of another client sitting on the edge of the seat a few centimeters from me without wearing his mask, with no reaction to this from the staff. I received verbal abuse from the girlfriend for asking him to put it on. The usually friendly receptionist didn’t/couldn’t speak, complaining that she had a sore throat, and she should not have been at work. Oi vey 😱

And then I popped in at Absolute Pets to say hello to Bukeka, who has been wonderful to me since I became a cat mom, only to hear that she has been moved to Head Office. Sad for me, and surely a promotion for her. 😻😿

The dreadful renters in EbbTide apartment 201 started their next party from midday today. These weekend party renters are getting out of hand. 😡😡😡 I wished Loadshedding for them!

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
