Saturday 21 April 2020, Day 27 of SA Corona Virus, Day 16 of SA Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a quiet and peaceful day; for being energized to exceed my daily step goal despite it being a cold and grey day, and for being disciplined enough to complete my steps before getting into my cosy bed to work in it; to feeling happy to be at home; to have faced the mirror that I am not as tech-savvy as I would like to be, and that I have time to catch up on this in the next 19 days; and for being healthy and happy 🙏💙
I woke up early, after not enough sleep, having discovered TikTok last night, and not being able to stop watching it, almost as addictive as a Netflix series. Not enriching at all, and I didn’t see anyone I knew in the categories I chose to watch, except for JLo and her family.
I was scheduled to do a video conference with the Tour Operator with whom I work in Canada, just a group of five of us for this one. I have to admit that I have never done a video conference before. They gave us a link to 8by8, but none of us had any sound, so after 45 minutes, they switched to Zoom, but once again I had no audio. I felt like I was in Sub A! I had to break off my participation for the sake of the others, and I will be part of a different video conference group next week. In the meantime I’ll be taking Zoom classes with Stuart Bailey 😱
My admin task for today was to start deleting the zillions of photographs which I have in my cellphone, exceeding 104000 😱🥵, starting with the video, Selfie, and Instagram folders. I have not yet got very far with this task, important because nothing is going into my Cloud. I realized how many pics and videos I have received via Whats Apps, in two groups I belong to, since the Corona Virus became a reality locally.
I feel so sad for the ‘No Oceans Marathon’ runners, #bananaboy being one of them, traditionally run on Easter Saturday. Many did the marathon in their gardens. 👣👣👣
So excited that it will rain overnight, and into tomorrow morning, a true Easter tradition ☔️☔️☔️.
SA Corona Status: 2028 cases, 25 deaths 😷😥
FitBit 14000 steps 10 km 👣

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
