Friday 24 April 2020, Day 40 of SA Corona Virus, Day 29 of SA Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another warmer beautiful day, and for all those since Lockdown in the last four weeks, making it much easier to stay home; for a long lazy lie-in morning, having written all my Blogposts for today last night already; for another beautiful sunset; for getting the stream at the Tidal Pool cleaned up; for our amazing President Ramaphosa, in being a mensch, laughing at his mask gaffe last night and turning it into a joke; for being able to walk to the shops to get my pancake flour and baking powder, Pick n Pay having stock again; for the lovely locals I’m meeting on the way, most having driven to the shops in the past and not walking, and those that did walk mostly not greeting others; for seeing Mama Egyptian Goose and her brood, growing quickly; for the long weekend lying ahead…. 😂; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

I buy bread for the homeless persons living behind the Law Enforcement office at the Tidal Pool, and today bartered their service in taking litter and a fast-growing water weed out of the stream, and removing the dead rat. They did a fabulous job of it. 🙏

Chef Jan-Hendrik of JAN Restaurant shared that the Zulu version of ‘No Regrets’, used as the theme song for his TV series, is now on iTunes. https://tmnguni.lnk.to/Angizisolo

I have been so active in my dance/walking to Kfm daily that I have reached my point limit of 10000 steps plus for the month, and my annual limit for doing less than 10000 steps and/or heart rate activity, weird as Discovery should be happy that we are keeping fit, especially during Lockdown.👣👣👣🥵

A news report on Kfm and Cape Talk throughout the day yesterday was misleading in reporting that the Atlantic Seabord has the highest number of COVID-19 cases. Our area falls into the provincial City of Cape Town West Metropole, stretching from Atlantis to Hout Bay, and includes the city and City Bowl, which has the highest number of cases collectively in our province. The Atlantic Seaboard is not read specifically.

SA Corona Status: 4220 cases 79 deaths 😷😥

FitBit 12000 steps 8 km 👣

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, and subsequently extended to 30 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
