Corona Gratitude 🙏
#gratitude for a lovely summer day, at 23C,
but cooling down now as the rain clouds move in; for a far better sleep than the night before, and grateful that Minsky decided to sleep in 😻; for a morning spent working, replying to client reviews, somany excellent ones, and washing the dishes of yesterday; for good Vit D therapy on the terrace; for a walk to Pick n Pay to buy something I couldn’t get at Woolworths, a big mistake 😱; for a lovely dinner of yesterday’s leftovers, thanks to Rose Klein; for a call from Gabi from Germany, to share that she is arriving back to her second home in 3 weeks, not having seen her since the start of the pandemic 💙; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙
A new set of 3 Nigerians has checked in, living directly above me in Magali Seguillon’s Ebbtide Apartment 202, luckily for only 4 days. I read them the riot act when one of them shouted outside my apartment. 😱😡
Going into Pick n Pay on a busy weekend day with a public holiday tomorrow was a mistake, no manager to be seen – chaos in the store, no social distancing or proper mask wearing – the manager was doing a meat stocktake at 18h00.😡😡😡😡
Camps Bay was crazy busy, with resultant litter. So sad to see it strewn all over near the Tidal Pool, after it was cleaned so well by Gary Peterson and Hans-Werner Klein yesterday. I saw a Council person and he promised to send a night shift to clean up. I found three soiled nappies at a tree, just left there, the nearest bin five steps away! The pits. 😱😡

I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
