Friday 3 September 2021, Day 39 of Level 3 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for another fabulous day, especially in having a wonderful undisturbed night using my secret anti-noise weapon 😻😂; for wonderful rain this morning and afternoon; for a very hard-working day, feeling squint now, getting up at 6h00 to not miss out on the Kfm Best of the Cape Awards; for my blood sugar level being down to 4,3 ❤️; for a walk to Woolies, shopping far more than I had planned, and met a lovely German lady there, she approaching me and saying that she had seen me walking past her apartment on Victoria Road, so we are arranging a tea date; for a gorgeous rainbow 🌈; for the wonderful Podcast done with Matthew Hallett two days ago ❤️; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙
The Sweet Service Award went to Hazendal; the Sour Service Award went to EbbTide apartments 202 and 201.
Sweet Service Award goes to Hazendal; Sour Service Award goes to EbbTide Apartments!
We were not contacted by Kfm, so we didn’t know how things would be handled, and therefore I started listening from 6h00 onwards. Very quickly we got the hang of it, and knew that the Best Date Night Restaurant category in the Kfm Best of the Cape Awards would be announced between 8h00 – 9h00. I received a call from a Kfm producer about half an hour before the announcement. Matthew Schreuder from Homespun and I encouraged each other and wished each other luck. In the end it wasn’t meant for both of us, Avontuur in Stellenbosch winning our category. I’m very proud to have got Utopia into the Top 5 Best Date Night Restaurant category. A fabulous experience. Thank you for all your support and votes. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July, and returned to Level 3 on 26 July, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
