Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a most fabulous Valentine’s Day, getting dressed up for it, and spending an hour at Utopia Cape Town, interacting with romantic guests celebrating their love ❤️; for the amazing support I received when cleaning up Camps Bay late this afternoon, looking terrible with litter everywhere, having learner Marc join me, and an amazing surprise that two adult picnickers and two cousin boys helped us clean up near where they were picnicking, the little boys being particularly happy to bring us litter and endless bottles of alcohol empties, filling four garbage bags in an hour, there was so much; for the rain overnight and morning ☔️; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

Utopia created a special four course menu for Valentine’s Day, gave each lady a rose on arrival, and a box of treats on departure. Many of the dishes I had not seen before, so I spent an hour photographing them. We had winners of a competition for a Valentine’s Day lunch in the house, so I kept an eye on them.

I had a peaceful afternoon with my Kits. I’m enjoying my first figs of the season.

I experienced two incidents today which I cannot describe here but I decided that they will not spoil this fabulous day. The first one I handled admirably already. The second awaits my creativity tomorrow. 😱

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, and extended but relaxed on 1 February, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
