The Sweet Service Award goes to Dirk Tolken, for his assistance in getting into the admin side of our Blog when we had a new hard-drive installed, and I could not access the back-end. Despite it being a Saturday morning, Dirk answered his phone immediately, and solved the problem quickly.
The Sour Service Award goes to the City of Cape Town and its Transport department, for its poor job in closing up trenches once it opens up a trench across a road for plumbing or electrical purposes. The trench is left unclosed without a warning sign for a number of days, and is not repaired at the same level that it was at before. For example, Geneva Drive in Camps Bay has 21 such poorly closed trenches!
