Mini Kamers comes to Oranjezicht City Farm Market!

Kamers OZCFIn time for last-minute gifts, a mini Kamers will pop up at the Oranjezicht City Farm Market in Granger Bay on Saturday.  Kamers is a traveling pop-up local hand-crafted gift market in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Pretoria, and Johannesburg.

The eleven crafters who will be selling their goods are:

#   CakeGoed produces practical wooden storage solutions and durable wooden décor items for the home.

#   TW Ceramics creates durable high-fired stoneware, that is microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.

#   Coco Africa makes a unique range of solid wood lifestyle products and customised designs for wood lovers.

#   A Ring To It designs and manufactures handcrafted silver jewellery, incorporating semi-precious stones, metals, wood, textiles and glass.

#   The Burgundy Collective team creates a range of high-end genuine leather bags using local materials and quality craftsmanship.

#   Espadril is a South African shoe brand based in Cape Town, founded by Rizqah Isaacs and Patricia Terre.

#   Operating out of a small studio in Woodstock, Lucy & Muffet makes bags and luggage from repurposed materials such as vintage army canvas and ‘dead stock’ leather and other preloved fabric, giving each piece a unique feel.

# The Big Box sell boardgames for kids or adults, for solo or for large groups, to enjoy with family or friends.

#  Homestead Hookers make and sell crocheted stuffed toys.

#   Sue Kingma of NUNO will have Kokedama (Mossballs), Keshiki Bonsai in handmade ceramic containers, waterwise succulents in ceramic, insectivorous plants, glass terrariums for tabletop, staghorn ferns, tillandsia in baskets and other green surprises.   Pamela Martinez of Mamachas, joins us with her unique, gorgeous planters made out of wood, clay and tin.

#   OZCF has heirloom seeds available as well as planting boxes and dibbers (to make a hole in the ground to plant a seed).

#   The Shake Down Smoothie duo is selling Nutribullets at very competitive prices.  Says Richard, “We will be selling the last of our stock of the Nutribullet machines.  Our price is R 1 800, cheaper than most retailers.  With each purchase, we will throw in a free smoothie. Score!  We will also offer herb infused water to people who come and ask for some.  If they bring their own cup/ container, its free. But if not, then there will be a minimal charge”.

#   OZCF offers gift baskets of fresh, local seasonal fruit and vegetables, including Curly Kale, Bright Lights Swiss Chard, Stinging Nettle, Fennel, Heirloom Tomatoes from OZCF, Acorn Squash from White Mountain Biodynamic Farm, Striped Butternut, Klondyke Cherries, White and Yellow Nectarines and Cling Peaches from Timberlea Farm,  Raspberries, Apricots from the Green Road, Granadillas and Blueberries from Ethical Co-op, Litchis, Watermelon and Strawberries.

The Oranjezicht City Farm Market opens at 9h00 on Saturday, and is open until 14h00.
