Zelda la Grange’s 2014 book ‘Good Morning, Mr Mandela’, the biography of the late President Mandela which documents the special relationship between the statesman and his personal assistant, is to be turned into a movie.
The movie is to be made by Maven Pictures, with producer Jacqui Lewis, and production company co-owners Trudie Styler and Golden Globe winning producer Celine Rattray. No announcement has been made as to the actors cast for the film.
Ms Le Grange started her career as a typist in the late President’s office at the time that the ANC came into power. She was promoted to 
Private Secretary during President Mandela’s rule, and worked for him until his death in 2013. The late President ‘was a teacher who gave her the most valuable lessons of her life’. Her book has been translated into six languages, with two further translations to come.
Ms la Grange thanked Maven Pictures ‘for believing in the power of a South African story’.
