Cape Town Tourism and visitBerlin signed a cooperative tourism marketing agreement in Frankfurt yesterday, reports KapExpress.

Both cities have agreed to support each other in their city tourism marketing. This is planned to take place through exchanging knowledge, doing joint PR and Social Media campaigns, and to build joint media databases. A staff exchange scheme is also planned.

VisitBerlin Head Burkhard Kieker described the two cities as ‘Soul Sisters’, geographically united via longitude, but are also two young and progressive cities known for their creativity and pulsating lifestyles.

Cape Town Tourism CEO Enver Duminy added that both cities are world class destinations that offer exciting travel experiences for global adventurers. Residents of both cities will be excited to visit each  other’s cities, he said.
