The Sweet Service Award goes to SupaQuick Bree Street for its excellent service from their two Nicos. Mechanic Nico could identify the cause of a rattle within a minute of driving the car, and did a quick temporary repair until the part could be sourced from Mercedes-Benz. The part sourcing took a day longer than promised, but was fitted within an hour. Manager Nico Buckle was charming, trusting that I would return to pay for the part and fitment.
The Sour Service Award goes to SupaQuick, and its manager Nico Buckle, for its SupaSlow service for a service. In talking to him while waiting for the rattling plate to be replaced, he mentioned that they fix car problems, and could do a service, which was due on my car. He prepared a quotation for the parts needed plus labour, with VAT shown, and I gave him the go-ahead. He said it would take three hours to do, so I brought my car in at 9h30 the following day. I called three hour later to arrange for it to be collected, but Nico was in a meeting, and mechanic Shahien told me that none of the parts required had arrived. Two hours later Nico called back, saying that the parts had just arrived, and that Shahien was doing the service. I received the car back 6 hours later, double the promised time. Nico was surprised that I was angry about the delay without proactive communication from him, and became sarcastic and unprofessional in his interaction with me when I paid. I called Heather in the SupaQuick Customer Care department, who was a good listener, and said that the company does not offer servicing as a standard service, and therefore they don’t have SupaQuick approved suppliers for service-related parts.
