The Sweet Service Award goes to the City of Cape Town, for adding a third stop street at the corner of Camp Bay Drive and Geneva Drive, one month after the commencement of the major roadworks on Camps Bay Drive. The City had promised to add such a three-way stop at a Camps Bay residents’ meeting a month prior to the start of the roadworks on 20 April. Only one additional stop sign was added a month ago, and it took another month to add the third stop sign!
The Sour Service Award goes to the City of Cape Town, for retaining incorrect and confusing old directional signage on Geneva Drive, showing right turns to travel to Camps Bay and Hout Bay, despite Camps Bay Drive being closed for renovations in that area. We provided feedback more than a month ago about the signage errors, two out of three signs at the top of Geneva Drive where it connects to Camp Bay Drive still being incorrect. City of Cape Town Transport Cape Town Councillor Brett Herron appears to not value input from local residents, despite the negative impact on visitors to Camps Bay, hardly ever responding to Tweets addressed to him!
