The Sweet Service Award goes to Labotessa Hotel, and its owner Johan du Plessis. I was having some of the delicious appleltaart and cream at the Labotessa Café when Johan came up t9 me and gifted me some of the hotel’s Dyptique shampoo and conditioner room amenities, my absolute favourite, and the second such gift.
The Sour Service Award goes to Sandak-Lewin and its PA Sameda Moose. After only 13 days of working on our account with the lovely new Portfolio Manager Vanessa, Sameda blasted me in an email sent to all Trustees when I requested her to not send contractors to our building without notification, as it was my request to have a balustrade replaced. This is what she wrote : ‘I am sick and tired of your unnecessarily (sic) emails landing in my inbox. Please read your emails with regards to the balustrade’s (sic) / quote/s. I found your email below totally unacceptable, and I am not going to entertain you with this type of behaviour. I have far more emails and other things to attend to also.’ We have seen bad service from Sandak-Lewin in the past three years, but this tops it all, in an unprofessional disparaging personal angry attack! She acknowledges the receipt of emails from other Trustees but ignores mine, quoting the 48 hour response time ‘service’ standard!
