Friday 17 September 2021, Day 5 of Level 2 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for an action-packed day, but well-timed with one exception; for a sunny warm 21C day but with the South-Easter blowing; for my rolls and also eggs waiting for me at Dinkel Bakery;  for good Anatoli and Utopia Status meetings, the first time we’ve held them in the morning, as the client postponed them to today; for dropping off Chef Prim Reddy Chapter prize of Adhara Extra Virgin olive oil as a 2021 Top 10 Woman Chef at her Indian Chapter restaurant in Blouberg, sadly she not there; for a good status meeting at Harvest Culture Eaterie at Tyger Falls, for my monthly meeting; for a meeting in Sea Point falling away at short notice, so I had a little eating snack, not having eaten all day; for a client meeting at Zest, helping to give me direction 💙; for a brief by Tania Harrison to be an Influencer for one of her clients’ Wine Brand, at Kloof Street House, over a Bellini and G&T, with a lovely fireplace and not lovely snooty service 😱; for a scoop of Chocolate Tahini ice cream at Unframed, the world’s Best Ice Cream Parlour, on Kloof Street, with such friendly service by Lincoln insisting that I try other flavours too; for popping in at Kloof Street Hotel where my friend George Sax DJs on a Friday, tasting The Ginologist Citrus gin, and danced my heart out, the first time to a proper DJ in 18 months 💃 and having a light supper there; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

The Sweet Service Award went to Labotessa Hotel and the Sour Service award went to Sandak-Lewin!

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, and returned to Level 2 on 13 September,  is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
