* Horror forecasts about the effect of the Immigration Regulations, and how they will affect tourism from China and India in particular, abound, according to meetpie.com. Destination Management Companies are reporting a 70% decline in bookings, incentive travel is affected, and the following forecasts for the following year say it all: 100000 fewer tourists, R4,1 billion revenue loss, 9300 job loss, according to Grant Thornton.
* French taxi drivers protested violently against the UberPOP service in that country last Thursday. Despite the sharing economy ban in France, it operates, having 250000 users per year. Road access to the airport in Paris, and service in Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence were affected, reports BBC News.
* The Discover Africa Group has created the Child Visa Checklist App, to guide visitors to our country regarding the 15 documents and 37 possible scenarios governing travel with children in terms of the Immigration Regulations, reports Travel Weekly.
* The Oranjezicht City Farm is teaming up with Harvest of Hope, making 30 boxes of vegetables available on Wednesdays, to be collected between 16h00 – 19h00. Each box will contain nine items from Harvest of Hope, grown in micro-farms in Nyanga and Khayelitsha, to which is added an item from the Farm or a trader partner product.
