#Grateful for a beautiful day; ïżŒfor a quick walk this morning to get some steps, energizing me to write my Blogpost when I got back home; for being well organized in leaving for a Roadtrip, with my school friend Jenny Stephens ; for meeting Chef and Restaurateur Prim Reddy Chapter at her new Indian Chapter in Blouberg for the first time; for a lovely drive to Darling, visiting Evita se Perron, Darling Brew, and had tea and scones at The Marmalade Cat; for staying over at Waylands Guesthouse on the Waylands Farm, seeing flowers on the way already; for walking the last steps of the day on the Farm; for ending a lovely day with a Braai; and for being happy and healthy. đđ Continue reading →

Due to the Corona Virus Lockdown in our country, the 2020 SA Dairy Championships Award Ceremony was held virtually for the first time in the 187 year existence of the Championships. Lactalis SAâs PrĂ©sident Extra Mature Cheddar Cheese was named the 2020 South African Dairy Product of the Year, winning against 974 other brands from 74 manufacturers. A total of 23 brands received the QualitĂ© mark of excellence of top achievement (see list below), and 107 were named SA Champion.
It was at a chance meeting with Jamie Friedberg at sans in Sea Point a week ago, that she told me about their new restaurant, that led me to Between Us on Bree Street on Friday. It serves the best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted, has a quirky interior, and a beautiful setting, looking onto Table Mountain from its deck. The restaurant opened three months ago.
