The UK removed a number of countries, including Kenya, Pakistan, Egypt, and The Maldives, from its Red List last week, but South Africa was not one the nine countries benefiting from the travel relaxation, reports Daily Maverick.

I have become a Litter fiend, since moving back to Camps Bay two years ago, picking up litter on my walks along the Beachfront in the suburb. It was therefore interesting to read a study conducted during Lockdown in late April 2020 by students of the University of Cape Town, evaluating the volume, origin of, and type of litter on three Cape Town beaches, two in the Muizenberg area, and the other at Milnerton. I went to visit the one-week old 140-seater Hard Rock Café Cape Town on the Camps Bay Promenade for lunch yesterday. Whilst the restaurant plays rock music, and pays its respects to the history of rock through the memorabilia it displays, the restaurant is not rocking yet! Continue reading →
