#grateful for a hot day, becoming misty; for a day of minimal writing; for Gary Peterson coming to fetch me to take me to the MediCross Day Hospital next to the Netcare Hospital on the Foreshore, for the first of two eye ops, having cataracts removed from my right eye today, all done by lunchtime, Gary fetching me and taking me home again; for a one hour sleep, having to lie on my left side, wearing a perspex eye patch, tonight and every night for a week; for managing a walk to Camps Bay Continue reading →

#grateful for experiencing more up than down today; forcearly morning rain; for doing my first PCR Test for my Eye op on Tuesday, done so nicely and quickly with a nurse at Pathcare at Mediclinic in Gardens, in what was previously parking bays; for popping into RG Jack on Bree Street to buy light bulbs; for buying the boys droë wors at Hartlief to take back with them to the UK; for a last quick dinner with the boys at Zest, Gary Peterson joining us, before heading to the airport to drop them off; for a lovely woven Continue reading →
