Corona Gratitude đ
#Grateful for a sunny day and the very strong South Easter reducing in wind speed this afternoon, after soft rain last night; for being able to drop off a cotton scarf which can make 5 face masks; for practicing wearing a mask when out walking to the shops today, getting over the initial claustrophobia and difficulty in breathing; for Woolworths having kept cooked beetroot for me; for seeing minimal litter whilst walking; for getting to my Step quota early on;, loving the music on Kfm this afternoon; for a terrace sun session, but realizing that I cannot just lie and do nothing for too long; for my Resting Heart Rate having dropped back to 55; for recognizing the Freedom in this most bizarre celebration of Freedom Day today đ±; for the City of Cape Town collecting our rubbish today, even on a public holiday; and for feeling happy and healthy. đđ Continue reading →

I have visited La Paris estate outside Franschhoek a number of times since it opened towards the end of 2017, but never in the evening. I was invited by Chef Nico Vorster to try the evening fare and live music of the La Paris Bistro last Friday, the only day of the week on which the restaurant opens for dinner. We loved the good music, and the cosy comfort food.
