Paul René MCC bubbles in Robertson, innovative packaging!

On Monday I stopped at the Robertson Small Hotel for a bite to eat and a cappuccino, where Monica van Niekerk of Paul René MCC came to greet me, she having been surprised at the hotel with a stork party for the imminent birth of her daughter. imageJuly has seen the opening of new restaurants Burger & Lobster, Unframed Ice Cream, ASH, and more, despite it still being the middle of winter. Shock news is that long-established Kitima is closing next week (see Postscript). A number of other restaurants have closed.

Shortmarket Club logoJune has seen the opening of excellent restaurants The Shortmarket Club, SOURCE, Idiom, and The Stack, despite it being the middle of winter.  New restaurant openings continue, especially in Cape Town, and few restaurants have closed down.
