SA largest circulation publication Huisgenoot sensationally shares my transformation and romance journey!

My journey of transformation, in losing 45kg in weight over a period of a year in 2017, as well as spiritually in walking the Camino last year, with related changes, has been sensationally documented by Huisgenoot writer Pieter Van Zyl.  He wrote the story on the basis of my SwitchBitch Book 1, in which I documented my physical transformation, as well as a telephone interview. Eat Out announces the Top 30 Restaurant list for 2018: some surprise inclusions and exclusions!

This afternoon Eat Out announced its list of the Top 30 restaurants in our country for this year. The Top 20 restaurants will be revealed at the Awards ceremony on 18 November at GrandWest, and the Top 10 list within that ranking. Sweet Service Award goes to Goodluck; Sour Service Award goes to Cape PVC Windows!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Goodluck, a South African electro music band, which played at La Parada Constantia Nek last Sunday, to thousands of fans. As I dance to DJ René Tanguy at the venue every Sunday, this was a surprise change, and an initial disappointment, in that I did not know the band. The singer Jules was infectious, and the producer Ben played others’ tracks too, making it a very danceable hour. I won a CD give-away, such amazing good luck… I spoke to both Ben and Jules afterwards, very lovely natural and unaffected musicians. A thanks goes to La Parada too, for organising this event, at no charge to patrons. Continue reading →
