KLM to increase flight frequency to celebrate 30 years of flying to Cape Town!

 

KLM Airlines will be operating daily flights between Amsterdam and Cape Town from 22 July.

More UK travel good news as it lifts pre-departure Test requirement!

 

From 4h00 tomorrow morning the UK will no longer require a pre-departure Test for vaccinated passengers entering its country, as residents or as tourists, Self-isolation has also been scrapped, reports TravelWeekly. 

However, within 48 hours of arrival, travellers have to undergo a Lateral Flow Test, and a PCR Test if they Test positive, so that the variant can be determined,

Scotland and Northern Ireland have not yet announced their regulations.

Germany to remove SA from its ‘Virus Variant Area’ List on 4 January, no quarantine needed for vaccinated entrants!

 

Germany has announced that it is removing South Africa and its neighbouring countries from its ‘Virus Variant area’ classification from tomorrow 4 January, after having slapped a travel ban onto our region on Black Friday 26 November, the date on which our country’s scientists shared with the rest of the world the discovery of the new Omicron Virus Variant.

Now classified as a ‘High Risk Area’, tourists to our country and local residents may  enter Germany without a quarantine period in Germany, on condition that they have proof that they have been vaccinated twice, or have recovered from the disease. A 72 hour negative PCR test Continue reading →

International Travel regulations: its green for Germany and red for UK and the USA for Tourists to SA, from 1 October 2020!

 

A long list of 60 countries has been red-listed for non-Business Leisure Tourism to South Africa as of tomorrow, a list that the Government will update fortnightly, it was announced by International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor this afternoon.  Sadly for our Tourism industry, Tourists from our larger source markets, namely the UK, USA, France, Holland, India, Portugal, and Switzerland will not be allowed to enter our country currently. Good news for me personally is that Tourists from Germany will be allowed to visit South Africa. All visitors from African countries are welcome to visit South Africa, as are those from Asia, and from Australia and New Zealand.

A number of errors were made in the Government’s list initially, admitted to and apologised for by the Department of Home Affairs!
