Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 129 of Level 1, 6 February 2022

Sunday 6 February 2022, Day 129 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a lovely warm 27C day, Camps Bay less busy than usual due to our sewerage pump station problems, therefore reducing the litter volume; for a busy morning, replying to all my clients’ reviews; for a lovely veil of mist moving in around Lion’s Head, making my afternoon walk photographs all the more special; for a tea date with Ingrid Grobe, whom I met at our Woolies, living about 8 apartment buildings from me, not understanding why her lift wasn’t working – we had Continue reading →

Saturday 5 February 2022, Day 128 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful but hot 31 C day, with no wind; for surviving a shitty start to the day, with the news that the Camps Bay sewerage pump station was not working due to an electrical fault, donning my Camps Bay Ratepayers hat in spreading the news to EWN at Cape Talk and Kfm, requesting Beachgoers to refrain from swimming in the ocean, followed by the Camps Bay beaches being closed, Law Enforcement officers and lifesavers making sure that everyone stayed out of the water, a huge disappointment for picnickers who had arrived early in the morning on an ideal beach day; for a trip to Constantia with Helen Hicks to buy figs and grapes at the Constantia Fruit Stall, followed by a late breakfast at Quentin’s at Oakhurst Barn, Helen having chili calamari and I two scoops of ice cream; for a walk with Gift, showing him where to clean up Litter; for a wonderful afternoon snooze; for a lovely Bakoven walk with amazing sunsets; for meeting all the clients renting at Ebbtide, all meeting by chance in the garage as once again the garage door is not opening/closing on a Saturday! 😱; for fabulous dancing music on Kfm Blokparty; for a refreshing pink gin to end off a stressful week; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

I was able to get up a kids jungle gym to photograph an amazing fiery sunset at Bakoven. I was so excited that I could see an aeroplane in the sky with my new improved right eye. A wow moment 💙💙💙 😎😎😎

In the last 24 hours videos from the iPhone Photography School have been dominating my video stream, after I watched one, so inspiring. Lovely photography tips ❤️

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for surviving a second challenging day, Nicholas Fjord and Gary Peterson and their whiskies coming to the rescue this evening 💙💙🥃🥃; for a busy admin and catch up client day, not getting as far as I wanted to; for Gift coming to clean up, on Camps Bay Drive and off Geneva Drive; for Henry coming to assist me for an hour 💙; for meeting the American client living next door to me at EbbTide apartment 101 belonging to Rhode Snyman, beside himself in anger at the Noise Disturbance caused by Sacha Jack’s Nigerian client Alex in Ebbtide 201 at 5h30 this morning when Continue reading →

Saturday 4 December 2021, Day 65 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a day of catching up on sleep and work for my clients; for the weather encouraging me to stay at home, it being grey and gusting like crazy, with rain to come; for a walk to Woolies and Pick n Pay, managing to not get blown away; for the NSRI coming to assist two paddlers at Bakoven, in trouble die to the strong wind; for whales being spotted in Camps Bay; for our Loadshedding being Continue reading →
