Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 100 of Level 1, 8 January 2022

Saturday 8 January 2022, Day 100 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful day, at 32 C, the hottest day so far this summer, attracting the largest mumber of beach goers I have ever seen here; for feeling better enough to travel to the relatively empty Waterfront, through a manic Camps Bay at 11h00 already, to the opening of the Protégé art pop up exhibition in the former Balducci’s space, the initiative of Barbara Lenhard and Florian Gast; Continue reading →

Saturday 6 November 2021, Day 37 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a mixed day of energy and of relaxation; for a cool day of 19C; for a light traffic drive to Harvest Culture Eaterie at Tyger Falls Waterfront for a Status meeting, served my favorite Dilmah Earl Grey tea with a slice of their newest Baked Cheesecake cake addition, so beautifully presented; for getting a Business Card designed at Wizardz in the Waterfront, using a special, realizing that for what I do I need a card, mine being at least 3 years out of date; for a shock discovery of the sign of the times that CNA and the Post Office have closed down in the Waterfront, although the post boxes are Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 32 of Level 1, 1 April 2021

Thursday 1 April 2021, 32 Days of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Gratitude for a well organized day, using a do-list, ahead of the Easter weekend; for getting my work done in good time ahead of my client meeting; for a good cardio workout on my secret Bakoven walk before I left for town, receiving 300 Discovery points; for putting in petrol, using more than a tank of petrol this past month, fueling up at BP on Regent Road, with Oupa offering excellent service, not deserving this name in his youthful age; for dropping off my Bedlinen at the Laundry next door; for fetching my Dinkel poppyseed rolls; for collecting an order from Lazari in Gardens; for playing Ms Easter Bunny, hopping about town doing deliveries; for an unusual but good client status meeting at Utopia; for being proud of my self-love, in walking out of a tea/coffee meet with my longest standing friend, when she disparaged me and tried to play Taurus mother to me in telling me what to do – one such Taurean mother in a lifetime was enough!🥵; for a royal treat by Chef Judi Fourie of Pilcrow & Cleaver, offering me a glass of Mooiplaas vino, with which I ordered a cheese board, with Brie, figs and unusual cumin shortbread 💙🙏; for a weird relaunch of Infusions on Long, each tapas dish containing cannabis 😱, for a lovely letting-go walk on the Mouille Point Promenade; for Minsky waiting for me at the door when I got home; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Wednesday 17 February 2021, Day 53 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 329 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a very relaxed day, spending it at home in the morning, Mr Grey keeping me company while I wrote in bed, he stretched out between the folds of the duvet, loving it; for being very happy to have Restaurant number 2 come on board, on the basis of the work I have done for Utopia in the past close to 4 months, having a very productive first meeting 🙏 ; for a shop at The Olive Branch Deli and Woolies at Lifestyle on Kloof; for a walk to Clifton and back, not initially thinking that I would have the energy to walk the full stretch, but the more I walked the more energy I had, gaining 300 Discovery points; for two Discovery Gameboard plays today, just 5 points short of my next voucher; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
