Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a peaceful organised hard working day of writing and posting; for staying home most of the day; for a slightly cooler day, the wind picking up strongly late afternoon, and feeling a first touch of autumn; for having tea with Rose Klein and Hans-Werner Klein at buzzy The 41 Restaurant, and then coming to my home afterwards for a spontaneous red wine and some snacks; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Thursday 25 November 2021, Day 56 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a real summer day at 29C, still 23C now, the wind picking up here again and I can smell fire and see smoke 😱, Camps Bay a hit today; for waking up early, and finishing all my work of the day by 11h00 when I headed to town; for donating blood, my blood pressure being far below that measured by Clicks a week ago; for a spoil lunch at Utopia with the owner and GM, to celebrate my first anniversary of looking after their marketing, followed by my weekly Status meeting; for finding Continue reading →

Monday 17 May 2021, Day 78 of Level 1 😊

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Gratitude for surviving a Manic Monday, the busiest in many years; for Loadshedding giving me a 2 hour focused gap to read the Sectional Title Act, and about the Maintenance & Repair Reserve Fund as well as Special Levies, in preparation for a meeting tomorrow; for a midday walk to Camps Bay, to gift my favorite car guard Lewis the pair of socks I received from the Western Cape Blood Service; for a lovely sunny day at 19C, enjoying walking in a sleeveless top and shorts; for being up to date with my work; for a quick chat with Stuart Bailey; for a Camps Bay & Clifton Ratepayers Association meeting on Zoom; for a late meeting with builders who I’ve asked to quote, at 20% of the R1 million alternative; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Friday 14 May 2021, Day 75 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful that every cloud has a silver lining, no matter how dark the cloud, a day very different to my usually happy go lucky days; for waking up early and getting my work completed early; for a beautiful sky day, with lots of clouds, and the rain clouds rolling in now; for a refreshing walk to Woolies, to buy veggies for a rainy day soup, the soup turning out to be super tasty by adding the left-over Mauritian sausage dish by Michele mmmm; for a second sunset walk through Bakoven, bumping into siblings Mel and Jason, who took over Roots Café and Kitchen a month ago, having written about them earlier this week; and for being healthy and Free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
