The Sweet Service Award goes to the City of Cape Town, for proactively (or was it a 6-month delayed reaction to our request?) trimming the palm tree on our pavement, which sheds its fronds into our property whenever we have strong winds blowing in Fresnaye. The City has been poor in coming to collect the fronds falling onto the pavements and streets after storms, despite our suburb being heavily populated with palm trees

Rosé Rocks 2015 Top10 winners announced, ‘fantastic future’ for Rosé!
The winners of the inaugural Rosé Rocks competition have been announced, with Tamboerskloof Katharien Syrah Rosé 2015 named the overall winner.
The 160 Rosé and MCC Rosé wines were evaluated by a panel of judges, which was chaired by Woolworths’ Allan Mullins. Cape Town hotel industry loses two stalwart iconic leaders!
Two iconic hotel leaders, Clive Bennett from the One & Only Cape Town and Horst Frehse from the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, are going into retirement, a massive loss for the Cape Town hotel industry. Both Hotel GMs crossed paths when Frehse took over Bennett’s job at the Twelve Apostles in 2010.
