Spier has announced the launch of its brand new Secret Sparkling 2015, made by winemaker Jacques Erasmus.
The new Chardonnay Pinor Noir MCC costs R65, and is available from the Spier wine shop and its online store.
The MCC was made from grapes from vines 14 to 18 years old. The grapes were hand-harvested early in the day, then crushed, and then destemmed. Skin contact for six hours. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, and the two cultivars blended. Residual sugar 18,4 g/l, 12,05% alcohol. Strawberry and raspberry aromas, with Muscat on the nose. Crisp and fresh finish.
