Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 102 of Level 1, 10 January 2022.

Monday 10 January 2022, Day 102 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a perfectly balanced day, cooler and not too hot at 24C, starting with rain this morning, forecast for last night; for getting out of the Litter debate, as I had work to do, via a little explosion mainly off-line, long overdue; for being industrious in posting for my clients and writing; for being able to spoil Gift with Pick n Pay vouchers which he can use to buy food for his family, made possible by a donation from Camps Bay resident Janette Hodgkinson, given to him when he worked for 3 hours this afternoon, he so excited; for meeting Andy Conder of Clearer Conscience Recycling and Waste Management, who wanted to meet about recycling and food waste collection; for a three hour drive through Camps Bay with Gift, he cleaning up Litter at specific hotspots, with 15 bags filled, all stacked at the back of my ‘luxury bakkie’ 😅; for Camps Bay looking 99% perfect again; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was about ‘super-glum’ Chef Liam Tomlin acknowledging that his three new Restaurant projects in the former HQ on Shortmarket Street are a failure!

Chef Liam Tomlin admits his Local, La Cantina, and Mazza food projects are not working at Heritage Square!

I loved the peace and quiet in our building whilst I was working this morning. Unfortunately it was lift-noisy yesterday afternoon and last night, Nigerian client Alex in Sacha Jack’s Ebbtide apartment 201 driving in and out at 1h00 this morning, and using the lift continuously, leading to my bucket-list remedy! 😡😅

My Do List included calls to Discovery Bank and Discovery Vitality today. The former was to apply for a Discovery credit card, advice I’d received, but the Banking side of Discovery is so complicated that I decided to walk away from it. It is such van impressive company, but soooo poor at communicating with clients! Then I wanted to have my Health Check redone, it having cost me my Diamond Status for last year, due to the pathetic service of the Sister at the Waterfront branch of Clicks! I know for sure that the call centre person had no clue as to what I was trying to explain to her. 😡😡😡😡😡

I’m feeling much better, but still a bit pap. I’ve had one ProVita and one slice of toast today, with lots of the Combo fruit/veg juice. I’m not feeling hungry at all. 😱 My client Ian Halfon of Gibson’s gave me a week’s paid leave to get better, which I would never accept of course. 🙏🙏🙏
