Friday 5 February 2021, Day 41 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 317 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a beautiful wind free day; for an energetic walk with Imtiaz to clean up at the Caltex Garage on Rontree Road; for getting a noise problem in our sewerage pipes in our building fixed; for a Zoom meeting I was invited to by Tania Harrison about the impact of Lockdown on brand distribution and pricing; for an afternoon nap after a late night of Instagramming and having to redo my Facebook post after it crashed; for another walk with Imtiaz at the Tidal Pool and Promenade, seeing umbrellas everywhere, and so happy to see Law Enforcement Officer Ivor Ramsay back in Camps Bay for a visit; for being able to digest, pardon the pun, an absolutely generous box of organic vegetables, herbs and eggs which Rosy Krämer-Schrott of The Green Goddess had delivered to me; for being spared Loadshedding today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
The Sweet Service Award went to The Green Goddess and the Sour Service Award to Carne on Kloof.

Belgian accommodation owner Jan van Mechelen came to assist us in cleaning up litter next to the Caltex garage this morning, not something we have experienced before. #dankie
The beaches were less busy, but the mask-wearing was minimal again.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, and extended but relaxed on 1 February, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
