Cape Town ‘The Greatest City in the World to visit right now’: Telegraph, March 2022!

What an accolade Cape Town received earlier this month from the UK Telegraph newspaper, named by it as ‘The Greatest City in the World to visit right now’.

The weather, surfing in Muizenberg, Camps Bay, and the Winelands are highlighted for Cape Town.

The article highlights accommodation establishments in Cape Town, including the recently renovated The Winchester Hotel in Sea Point, The Marly and Twelve Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay, The Alphen in Constantia, and Delaire Graff and Boschendal in the Winelands.

What is a wonderful surprise is that Cape Town’s hidden gem Labotessa Hotel on Church Square has been included too, described as ‘like nothing else in Cape Town’. It is my favorite escape place for a delicious Appeltaart and cream as well as TWG tea in the city centre, which I discovered a year ago.

Labotessa Café a Dutch-inspired secret in a 5-star luxury boutique hotel on Church Square!

On 26 November last year the UK was the first country in the world that placed South Africa on its Red List, prohibiting travel from our country into the UK with 24 hour notice, leaving tourists stranded here, and accommodation, car hire and restaurant bookings being cancelled left, right and centre, a dreadful blow to our country’s Tourism industry. Other countries followed suit rapidly in banning visitors from our country, blaming the ban on the discovery of the Omicron Corona variant by our country’s scientists.
