Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for a more relaxed day, giving myself some me-time; for a beautiful day, with no wind, at 29C; for starting the day with a Breakfast for the committee of the Camps Bay & Clifton Ratepayers Association at Himitsu at the Camps Bay Retreat; for getting work done; for a lovely slow drive to Hout Bay on this beautiful day, meeting the very gentle Renate there, a Pearl restringer, with 6 bracelets to be done (accumulated over Lockdown to date) and a ring to be fixed, a great discovery via Facebook; for a walk through the Mainstream shopping center, having an ice coffee at the relatively new Rijk’s, and a black fig ice cream at Ice Time on the Main Road; for being able to photograph the Beach with all the kelp washed up; for the City of Cape Town starting to remove the kelp; for a lovely sunset walk to the Tidal Pool, with lots of foam and some massive waves, photographing them with the sunset in the background; for my Alex and Patryk having made it onto the BA flight to Cape Town; for having achieved something in posting on Instagram which I worked out logically; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙
The Sweet and the Sour Service Awards went to Audi!
I was very disappointed with the Breakfast at Himitsu at the Camps Bay Retreat. Six of 12 of us ordered Eggs Benedict, which arrived ice cold after a half an hour or longer waiting period. No tea/coffee orders were taken in this waiting time. We waited and waited and waited for everything. There was no Manager to check on the tables. The Hollandaise sauce was thick and stodgy, and the English muffins tough to cut. 😱

I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
