Monday 6 April 2020, Day 22 of SA Corona Virus. Day 11 of SA Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful that we are halfway through the Lockdown; for the fabulous rain ☔️throughout the day, and for the cool fresh temperature; for buckling down to write; for expressing my Self-Love for being honest to two responses to nonsense posted today; to experiencing Smile FM for the first time today, on the recommendation of Martin Koch; for my Resting Heart Rate dropping down to 55 beats per minute, my lowest in 12 months; for hearing so many more birds in my neighborhood, being visited by a pair of hadedas; for dancing-walking-jogging a new circuit in my home; for exceeding my step goal already, and its only after 17h00; for Kfm broadcasting only SA music from 22h00 – 24h00 tonight; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

I had to get up at 8h00, to take out the rubbish bin, my volunteer duty during Lockdown. It didn’t take long for the City of Cape Town truck to collect the garbage.

I took almost all morning to write my Blogpost, describing what our country’s top chefs are doing to keep their restaurants’ image going, and what they are doing for their restaurant fans as well as their disadvantaged communities. Amazing stories. I’ll write Part 2 tomorrow.

Corona Virus: How South African Chefs are responding to the COVID-19 Lockdown, some selfless, some selfish!

Martin Koch sent me the Smile FM details this morning, loving it for the first four hours, until I lost the App link on my phone, and switched to Kfm. Definitely far better morning on Smile, but I do love the Kfm afternoons, with far more danceable music. 🙏🎶💃

I created a new exercise route in my home, around the couch, a 20 step circuit. The bulk of my steps came from it today, jumping up from the writing whenever there was a great song. 💃🎶👣❤️

The Lockdown has improved my Self-Love, and I reacted harshly to a person in our Tourist Guiding Whats App Group, who shared the most pathetic fake news story about all our Social Media Posts being read by the government…. 🥵🥵🥵🥵. And then I received a call, at least half an hour-long, from a now ex-Facebook Friend, who posted about a client owing her money, everyone giving her solid advice but she not wanting to listen to it. In the call it was 30 minutes of MeMe, not once asking me how I am doing, so I finished the call and unfriended her. So easy! Then I had a call from my Lutheran Church, to ask how I am doing, and if there is something I need them to pray for me for. Oi vey …… 😱

It felt like a lazy rainy day Sunday today, and I must admit to having the munchies today, demolishing what chocolate there was. 😱😱😱

I saw the trailer of ‘Contagion’, made in 2011, with a star cast, all about a virus just like Corona, uncanny. 😱

Corona Status: no update available yet.

Lovemylife❤️

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
