Corona Gratitude š
#Grateful for two seasons in one day, a wet rainy morning followed by a sunny afternoon, not feeling too cold at 14C; for a good writing morning; for walks through Camps Bay and Bakoven, the rain holding off; for dancing to Kfm; and for being happy and healthy. šš
Although blue is my favorite colour, it isnāt in combination with a Monday. I didnāt have my normal energy today yet it didnāt affect my writing, a story about a brand new range of Bespoke Salts by Iconic Brandsā Mark McCarthy.
What got to me today was the terrible noise made by a worker pressure-cleaning the two terraces directly above me, sounding like drilling, a meter above me. We are not informed ahead of such disturbances, and are just expected to bear it. š„µš„µš„µ
This afternoon it was back and forth with admin tasks relating to my Hermanus house sale, I paying the Rates Clearance, and then hunting for the original Title Deed.
In between this there was more pettiness from the Trustees of the Block, still on about the Power Audit of our building, I now refusing to get involved, but I canāt help but feel that the main one is trying to set Henry up for a fall. Grrrrrrrr š„µ
I did an inspection of my veggie garden, and picked a bouquet of parsley, coriander, spinach leaves, and chives to have with my supper. šæš So proud of how well everything is growing, the first pea and dill plants coming out of the ground, and beetroot almost ready for harvesting. The plants in the composted section are growing faster, bigger, and better, so exciting to see.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, and lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
