Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a lovely hot day at 26C without any wind, the beginning of a week of summer catch-up; for a writing morning; for Banele coming to work, sending him off in sign language to Clifton and back; for the two of us tackling Bakoven, always having litter problems, followed by the Tidal Pool, far less busy than I expected, given the warm day and public holiday; for a lovely sun snooze on the terrace; and for being happy and healthy 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was a good news story about CNN putting in a good Corona word for our country.
CNN puts in a good word for South Africa in the Corona Virus pandemic!
For the first time I sent Banele off in his own, with a map, highlighting where he had to clean up. We then did Bakoven and the Tidal Pool together. The heat must have taken its toll, as he seemed tired towards the end, but the Tidal Pool area looked very good and clean when we finished. I almost fainted in shock when we found three Council cleaners cleaning the beach and then the lawns where we had just cleaned. I have never seen them clean the Beach or lawns, only clearing bins. Wow 💙

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
