Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful 30C day without a breath of wind; for a busy writing day, with my nose to the grindstone; for 300 Discovery points for my walk to Clifton 4th Beach and back, with litter and more horse droppings along the way; for a power nap this afternoon; and for being happy and healthy.

I was annoyed that a carpenter was sanding the floors of one of the apartments in the building the whole day, without any notice from the owner, just after I praised it for being so quiet. I had a headache from it. Tomorrow we are in for more, but I’ve managed to negotiate a delayed start.

My Blogpost today was about how Quentin’s at Oakhurst Restaurant in Hout Bay is facing the loss of business since we went back to Level 3 Adjusted almost a month ago.

Camps Bay is terribly empty, not a soul in the restaurants I walked past late afternoon.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, and extended to 15 February on 11 January, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
