Saturday 3 April 2021, Day 34 of Level 1. 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for a beautiful sunny day, at 24C, attracting hordes of picnickers and restaurant goers to Camps Bay; for a relaxing day; for a good afternoon sleep after a short night; for a power walk on my secret Bakoven path, gaining 300 Discovery points; for braving the Camps Bay Promenade with hordes of persons, so much so that one could barely walk on the Restaurant pavement; for a spoiling tea and chat with Emma at The 41, dropping off her Easter bunny, with a great DJ, everyone wanting to dance, so we had to make do with dancing in our seats; for a short and sweet shop at Pick n Pay; for a litter clean up walk back home, it looking wild; for a catch up chat with my Alex; for lovely Blokparty music on Kfm; for Minsky coming back home at 10h00, her latest overnight gallivanting, causing me much anxiety 🙀😻; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
Alex was lucky to be vaccinated with AstraZeneca in London yesterday, as he works with customers face to face 7 days a week. Today he feels very tired and has muscle ache, apparent vaccination side effects.
I found boxes of Corona beer empties in cleaning up today, no Law Enforcement to check on alcohol use. Picnickers just left their rubbish where they ate for someone else to clean. 😡😡😡
A film shoot at the Camps Bay High School is shining bright blinding lights into my lounge, my apartment being directly across the bay. No resident warning was issued. 🥵🥵🥵 (Luckily just finished)
Chef Guy Clark was a MasterChef SA Season 1 finalist and certainly the best looking of any of the finalists. He used to chef in Cape Town and Franschhoek, but now is a consultant chef in Sudan. He came home to celebrate his 40th birthday, and selected Utopia for the special celebration with family and friends last night. He was so amazing in his 5 ⭐️ review which he posted today, understanding what pressure there is on a kitchen in serving all 12 persons at his table simultaneously 👏👏👏.
The traffic jam through Camps Bay has only just ended.
SA Corona Status 1 550 724 cases 52496 deaths 😷🥲 269 102 vaccinations

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
