Sunday 8 November 2020, Day 49 of Level 1, Day 247 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Gratitude for more rain today, keeping me and the cats in and on the bed all morning, making up for two days of being apart 😻😻; for catching up on American President-elect speeches and videos; for catching up on posting on Social Media; for a walk through Camps Bay, including buying pasta at Woolies for a wintry dinner, and the Maverick 168 at Pick n Pay; for a long chat to Jenny Stephens, missing her company already; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
We did a number of alcohol-based tastings in my hometown Wellington yesterday, so I fell asleep easily last night, accompanied by the sound of the falling rain. ☔️
At Pick n Pay I saw that blueberries were on special offer, and it reminded me that Wellington has become a major blueberry growing area, most of them exported, we learnt on our Wellington Wine Walk.
It was very quiet in Camps Bay this afternoon, yet there was quite a bit of litter to pick up. A rubbish bin sadly has landed in the stream at the Tidal Pool, too heavy for me to remove as it has a cement base. I’d love to know how it landed up there. 😱
Early to bed to keep warm and watch German TV.🍿

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
