Wednesday 23 March 2022, Day 174 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a cool start to the day, with rain and a thunderstorm at 5h00 this morning; for preparing for client status meetings; for Minsky coming back home after her longest overnight gallivanting, being away from home for more than 24 hours, so worried about her 😻; for good meetings with newkings boutique hotel and Zest Restaurant Cape Town, with exciting projects lying ahead; for a shop at Woolies and Spar in Piazza da Luz; for the kind optometrist in the Point Mall Continue reading →

Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for another beautiful long weekend day at 28C, but a strong wind blowing now; for posting for my clients; for a walk to Woolies and a spoil at The Pottery; for an afternoon snooze; for a sunset walk through Bakoven, the wind blowing the cobwebs away; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 160 of Level 1, 9 March 2022

Wednesday 9 March 2022, Day 160 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a well organized working day, with little sleep last night, and starting to write at 5h30 this morning, due to Loadshedding from 8h00 – 10h30, using the ‘down time’ to pack for my trip, and compiling my Do List; for preparing for four Status meetings, meeting all my clients this afternoon; for a shop at Woolies Piazza da Luz, with good service; for dropping off my house key at Gary Peterson, meeting Gary’s nephew and his friend there, a lovely hour and a bit of relaxing and Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 146 of Level 1, 23 February 2022

Wednesday 23 February 2022, Day 146 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful 26C day; for writing a newsletter and preparing for Client Status meetings this morning; for seeing my ophthalmologist at lunchtime, for a check up, and to receive a prescription for new specs for driving; for popping in at Discovery Sea Point a third time in one week, getting one of my three questions answered 🙏😱; for a day of numeric achievement, reaching 1000 followers for newkings boutique hotel, 2000 for Zest, and 2000 followers for my own account, celebrating with cupcakes in our meeting; for a quick shop at Woolies; for posting for clients this afternoon; for a Camps Bay sunset walk; for a call to my German Tourist Guiding client, about to fly to Cape Town, arranging where to meet tomorrow; for two Discovery Gameboard plays today, not having had two plays a week in a month 😱; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

To get a Discovery discount for my prescription specs, I have to go to Mellins, which have branches everywhere except in the city centre and Atlantic Seaboard. Claremont will be the closest branch to me. One cannot call a branch directly, all calls leading to a call centre! One has to wait for them to call you. Tomorrow I’ll compare the costs of having the specs made by my usual optometrist in Sea Point and the Discovery-discounted Mellins optometrist in Claremont. 😱

Zest regulars will be happy to hear that waitress Josie Milner is back again.

I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
