Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for a busy day, a ‘Tsunami Monday’ as one of my clients wrote; for being so lucky to have a new Restaurant client 💙, and getting stuck in with work straight away; for finishing writing the hotel newsletter for December/January; for a shopping trip to Camps Bay, using my car to buy HTH buckets from Pick n Pay for the next few months, our EbbTide Trustees taking turns to pay for our joint pool requirements, one project of cooperation that runs very smoothly, and stocking up on healthy fruit and veg for my healthier eating at Woolies; for a visit from Justin Miller from Johannesburg, who loves Cape Town so much that he wants to work as an intern in a hotel, so I will try to help him; for one Bakoven walk, shocked at how the strong wind was blowing litter out of the overfull domestic garbage bins today, bin scratchers having torn all the bags 😱; for a lovely Camps Bay & Clifton Ratepayers Association meeting today, the first live one in about a year, Councillor Nicola Jowell joining us on Zoom; and for being happy, healthy and free. 💙❤️
My Blogpost today was about the Platter’s Wine Guide’s three top performing wineries as well as the 28 top wines per cultivar.
Platter’s announces 2022 award-winning wineries, and cultivar winners!
So happy to hear that Gary Peterson has got back home safely, with reports of dreadful flooding on the Garden Route. 🕺💙

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July, returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
