Sunday 3 January 2021, Day 6 of Adjusted Level 3 Lockdown, Day 284 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful beach of a day… at 29C, making Camps Bay busy, persons just coming for a walk, a supermarket shop, or a restaurant treat, and a few persons chancing it by running on the beach or into the ocean, Law Enforcement being very vigilant in checking; for a good sleep last night, feeling very relaxed, and happy for my Resting Heart Rate’s good drop down to 57 bears per minute; for some writing this morning, followed by a 2 hour afternoon sleep; for posting my three SwitchBitch books to Honene Bain Roux to Wellington (my old home town) via Pick n Pay’s Aramex courier service 🙏; for a walk with my cleaning team through the Camps Bay beachfront, checking for litter, so happy that there is so little; for 200 Discovery Miles today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

The birds seem so happy to have the lawns and the beach at the Tidal Pool all to themselves, the seagulls and hadidas having a long chit chat about it. ❤️

On my walk I saw an ancient decorated VW Beetle at Bali Bay, its owner wearing a tie-dye T-Shirt, which made sense. 😊

There has been a traffic jam snaking past my home all afternoon, many using this beautiful day for a Cape Town drive. So good to see mask-wearing almost at 100%. 😷

SA Corona Status 1100748 cases 29577 deaths 😷😢

FitBit 10000 steps 7 km 👣

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
