Tuesday 1 December 2020, Day 72 of Level 1, Day 251 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a relaxed day; for a day which varied from sunshine, to a short and sweet drizzle, and back to sunlight; for a meeting about the Camps Bay Cleaners do’s and dont’s at The 41, over a cup of tea, combined with a walk and a shop at Woolies, spending my Discovery Vitality voucher on cat treats; for dancing to Dansdag on Kfm; and feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙
Today I updated the monthly list of Restaurant Openings and Closures, the Closures having all but stopped and the new Openings list since Lockdown now at 60.
Ryan Rudy of the Camps Bay CSI heads up the Community Stewards and Cleaners program, and I requested a meeting to clarify some issues with him, after working with the Cleaning team for the first five days last week. We will work later on weekend days and public holidays, to clear the litter on the Camps Bay lawns before the wind picks up on the same day.
Update: I could not understand why my KitKat did not come for his early dinner treat this afternoon, last seeing him at about 15h30. He did not react when I called him, and I even went outside close to the erf in which he loves to lie during the day. I was devastated to read the message I received from his former owner Barry Aaron, rudely telling me that he came to fetch the cat from next door this afternoon, and has taken him to a new home. He followed this up with a very threatening message. KitKat arrived here 8,5 months ago, and returned to me after a strict 4 week lockdown by his owner about 4 months ago, the cat never returning to his former home thereafter. Minsky and I will miss him terribly. 😻😻😻😻😻😢😢😢😢😢😢 Thank you Michele Antelme for all your cat support and comforting.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
