Cape Town and Winelands see host of new restaurant openings: December 2020 update!

Cape Town and the Winelands is experiencing a restaurant boom, with new openings currently as well as openings announced for 2023.

The biggest restaurant opening extravaganza is that of JAN Franschhoek, the third restaurant in the JAN Restaurant Collection, opening at La Motte in Franschhoek. Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for feeling much better than I did during the night and early this morning, having a severe attack of nausea and a tummy bug, which appears to be doing the rounds, I NEVER getting ill; for being able to sleep all morning and doing some work this afternoon; for fasting all day; for staying home all day, and not getting out to walk; for the most beautiful peace and quiet in our building, with minimal Lift usage ❤️ for a glorious hot 28 C Day ; and for not being too happy nor feeling too healthy. 😱

The Good Things Guy included my Blogpost of Wednesday about more restaurants opening than closing since Lockdown started in his Friday newsletter today:

More Restaurant Openings Than Closures For First Time Since Lockdown in SA!

Henry our Ebbtide Building Manager had to finish his handover to me, taking three weeks leave. I will miss him dearly. We did Do Lists and got everything done. #thankyou

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a most beautiful day after the fierce wind last night, at 25C; for a 9 hour sleep, feeling very relaxed; for a busy writing morning; for a powerful Cardio walk to Bakoven and then to The 41 Restaurant in Camps Bay to meet new Facebook friend Charlene Shapiro for tea, and we have a lot in common, such a surprise that she is from my neighbouring town Paarl as well; for a lovely sunset; for gratitude to Brian van Hansen for creating a collage for me for one of my clients 💙; for a refreshing walk back home, happy that I scored 300 Discovery points today, and two more days to go until I achieve a significant Discovery goal; and for being happy and healthy. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a relaxed day; for a day which varied from sunshine, to a short and sweet drizzle, and back to sunlight; for a meeting about the Camps Bay Cleaners do’s and dont’s at The 41, over a cup of tea, combined with a walk and a shop at Woolies, spending my Discovery Vitality voucher on cat treats; for dancing to Dansdag on Kfm; and feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
