Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a lovely sunny 24C day, with barely any wind; for being totally relaxed, staying home most of the day, not wanting to face a busy Camps Bay today; for a two hour clean up in Camps Bay with my team; for excellent service from Pick n Pay and very poor service from Woolworths; for seeing heart stones near the Tidal Pool, which I’m dedicating to my KitKat, my heart still aching for him ❤️; and for being healthy. 🙏💙
Our cleaning area today was the lanes/steps of lower and upper Bakoven, from Victoria Road up to Camps Bay Drive, which has a lot of litter, and then back down to Victoria Road.
It was incredibly full at the beachfront, so badly that there was a queue outside Pick n Pay, and I was told that Woolworths had one too earlier in the day, closing the store at stages. They had sold out all the roast chickens and fresh baked goods at Woolies. The very nice Pick n Pay Manager helped me get my free Daily Maverick 168 without having to queue inside the store, saying that he is grateful for my assistance to the store. 🙏
We proactively requested receiving litter from the picnickers around the Tidal Pool, a good strategy. I hate to think what the Public holidays will be like, but at least I have the team of three. 🙏

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
