Saturday 5 December 2020, Day 76 of Level 1, Day 255 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a very long sleep; for a haircut at Isabella Page Morgan in her brand new salon above Seattle coffee shop in Sea Point; for a light breakfast at WCafe, shocked at how expensive their prices have become since they ropened during Lockdown (R50 for two-egg scrambled egg on toast); for popping in at Utopia, photographing more of their dishes, and trying their chicken liver parfait, too delicious; for a clean up at the Camps Bay Tidal Pool with my cleaning team, very busy with litter removal given the number of people picnicking there as the weather was so fantastic…. until the wind came up; for returning to Utopia to photograph and video an engagement, the fourth in four weeks; and for being healthy. 🙏💙
I’m happy to have my hair shorter now, especially when the wind blows.
Utopia is fully booked tonight, and SiAnne Wilkins is singing. She serenaded the engagement couple while I videod and photographed. The lucky girl was truly surprised.
On my way back home I saw the most amazing sunset, so pulled off Camps Bay Drive to take some photographs.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
