Monday 5 July 2021, Day 8 of Level 4 đŸ˜·

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful all-day sunny day, I being able to wear my shorts and sleeveless top; for finishing off tasks on my Do List; for a perfect night’s sleep, sleeping for 8 hours in total silence 🙏; for a Woolies shop, meeting the two new managers of our branch; for a second walk, more chilly as the sun was setting; for a harvest of salad ingredients from the veggie garden; for Kfm featuring Harvest Culture Eaterie Deli on their BizBoost program, giving restaurants 1 minute each to promote their Level 4 Lockdown offering; and for being healthy and free 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was the July update of the Restaurants that opened and closed since Lockdown started last year, the closure list sadly growing.

Lockdown Level 4 a major setback to Cape Town & Winelands Restaurants just getting back on their feet again! July update

There were really bad vibes today from the Ebbtide 201 Trustee Sacha Jack, owner of the party flat, clearly annoyed with me reporting all her renters’ misdemeanors, so she decided to pack out with the most unfounded ludicrous made-up allegations against me in an email to all Trustees today. It really got to me, especially as she doesn’t apologize for her renters’ behavior at all. đŸ„”đŸ„”đŸ„” Mr Franklin must be having a dreadful headache today. I haven’t heard a peep, not even the lift. 😂

I’m so impressed with the efficiency of the vaccination of the 50 – 59 year olds, which my age group didn’t have, I not receiving an appointment despite being registered on the Government website and that of Discovery, and hence I was a walk-in. My 50 year old friends are receiving appointments two – three days after registering, at a variety of vaccination centres. I’m sure that it is being organised by the Western Cape Government, super efficient. 👏👏👏

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June  is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
