Thursday 10 December 2020, Day 81 of Level 1, Day 260 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day in all respects, even though I was under time pressure to get all my writing and meeting preparation done this morning, making it just in time; for a walk through Camps Bay with my cleaning team, shorter than usual; for a good status meeting with my client, so happy to hear how well they are doing; for some quick shopping to satisfy my German genes; for dancing to Wannerlaas on Kfm; for a walk through colourful Bo-Kaap; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

Today I wrote about a new food market in the Waterfront, with the odd non-food name of Makers Landing. I couldn’t find their operating hours anywhere, so I decided to keep a visit there for another day.

Makers Landing Cape Food craft market opens in the Waterfront today, celebrates SA food diversity!

Renowned winemaker Bruwer Raats was at my client when I got there. I was surprised that he remembered me, from tastings and being Facebook friends. He makes fantastic Cab Franc wines. Even better is that my client received its 5th Good review on the Good, Bad & Nasty Cape Town Restaurant Facebook Group. 👏👏👏

I love walking through colourful Bo-Kaap, missing my Tourist guiding.

The police and Law Enforcement are showing their muscle ahead of this weekend, with Matric students expected to celebrate in full force on the beaches, as well as ahead of the Festive Season, and did roadblocks at Maiden’s Cove and later at Bali Bay today.

SA Corona Status: 836764 cases 22747 deaths 😷😢

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
