While the UK remains steadfast in keeping South Africa on its Red List, Germany and the USA have announced the welcome news that they will welcome travellers from South Africa, report Businesstech and fin24.

Each of these two countries still have some entrance requirements, but these are mild compared to the rigorous regulations demanded of local travellers by the UK Government.

To travel to Germany South Africans 12 years and older require a negative Covid-19 Test result, proof of full Covid vaccination, or proof of recovery from a Covid infection. Proof of any of these three options must be presented to the airline prior to departure.

Travelling to Germany with the relaxed entry conditions enables South Africans access into the Schengen countries.

To travel to the USA South Africans can enter from November, the only requirement being proof of vaccinations as well as a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours before departure.  South Africa is included in a list of countries, with the UK, Ireland, China, Iran, Brazil, India, and 26 European Schengen countries.
